Queensland police are continuing investigations into the death of a three-year-old girl at Petrie, north of Brisbane.
Police found the body of Kyhesha-Lee Joughin at a unit at Petrie she shared with her 28-year-old father on Saturday.
A man who had been visiting the home alerted police but he left before officers arrived at the scene.
Queensland detectives have travelled to New South Wales to question a 45-year-old man, but are yet to lay charges.
The 45-year-old was detained yesterday during a routine traffic stop in northern New South Wales.
Yesterday, the man appeared in a Grafton court on unrelated traffic charges and was remanded in custody.
He is to appear again in the Grafton court again later this morning.
