Police investigating the death of Tauri Litchfield in Mandurah more than a week ago have charged three teenage boys with murder.
Police from the Major Crime Squad raided several properties across Perth and Mandurah yesterday and took several juveniles into custody for questioning.
Sam Dinnison from Police Media says murder charges have been laid against a 15 year-old boy from Mandurah, and two 14-year-olds from Leda and Thornlie.
"The other people taken into custody were released, however investigations are continuing and other people that may have been involved are still being looked for," he said.
Tauri Litchfield was found unconscious in the carpark of a local business on Sunday March 17 with severe head injuries.
He was rushed to hospital but died a short time later.
Mr Litchfield had been heading for home along Pinjarra Road when he encountered a group of youths.
It is unclear why the gang targeted Mr Litchfield but surveillance vision shows the teenagers surrounding the 28-year-old.
As he tried to run away, he tripped and the gang pounced, repeatedly kicking and stomping on his head.
It is understood the youths, aged between 13 and 17, were identified from hours of cctv vision sourced from businesses along the road.
All three teenagers are due to appear in the Perth Children's Court today.
