An Adelaide council has apologised to local residents for incorrectly listing the date of Anzac Day in its magazine.

In an article entitled 'Lest We Forget' in the Salisbury Council quarterly, the date for Anzac Day was twice written as March 25.

The council in Adelaide's north has posted an apology on its website.

Salisbury chief executive John Harry says the council is proud of its veterans and is extremely remorseful about the error.

"We note that members of our community may see this as a lack of respect for our veterans and their families, when nothing could be further from the truth," he said.
