Pair survive Rainbow Beach light plane crash

Air safety officials will travel to Rainbow Beach, near Gympie in south-east Queensland, today to investigate a light plane crash.
Two men were injured, one seriously, when the plane ditched after take-off from Rainbow Beach airport at midday (AEST) yesterday.
The 74-year-old pilot suffered head and leg injuries and was flown by helicopter to Nambour Hospital.
The passenger had minor injuries.
