TURIN, Italy (AP) — Juventus defender Martin Caceres has been moved from hospital to a private clinic after he was involved in a car crash in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Caceres was taken to the trauma unit at the Maria Adelaide hospital after his Porsche Cayenne was hit by a car which ran a red light.
The Uruguayan was treated for a head trauma and large cuts to his face, but avoided serious injury.
Caceres has now been moved to the Clinica Fornaca di Sessant and Juventus says the 25-year-old "is in a good condition and will spend the next couple of days undergoing treatment and necessary tests at the clinic."
The club adds that "the diagnosis is a head injury, with a lacerated contusion wound to his scalp and right cheekbone."
