Fire destroys seven boats at Mandurah boat yard

A fire has destroyed seven boats at a marine business near Mandurah.

The blaze started at Yunderup Marine on Pinjarra Road about half past 11:00 pm yesterday.

Firefighters say the fibreglass boats on trailers were well alight by the time they arrived, but they managed to stop the blaze from spreading to other vessels in the yard.

The Arson Squad is investigating .

Damage has been estimated at $300,000.
