A judge has labelled Perth bikie Troy Mercanti a 'coward' who has shown no remorse for the violent attacks he carried out on his former partner.
He has been jailed for six years and ten months for assaulting Tammy Kingdon during their 15 year relationship.
In sentencing, District Court Judge Simon Stone said Mercanti dominated and controlled Ms Kingdon by acts of violence, threats and abuse.
The bikie pleaded guilty to three counts of assault and one of causing grievous bodily harm.
He had originally pleaded not guilty but, two weeks into his trial and after damning evidence from his mother he changed his plea.
Mrs Mercanti testified she saw her son strike Ms Kingdon at a family gathering on Christmas Day in 2006.
His former partner had already told the court she was repeatedly punched and kicked by Mercanti that day after she complained he had not been home for three days.
The trial heard the bikie had broken a number of Ms Kingdon's ribs, fractured her eye socket, urinated on her and forced her to stand in public naked during his assaults.
The judge said the 45-year-old had shown no remorse for his actions.
The sentence will be backdated to March last year and Mercanti will be eligible for parole in just under four years.
Judge Stone says even if a restraining order is granted he feared it would not be enough to keep Ms Kingdon safe.
