Man fronts court over Katter party kill threats

A man has appeared in a north Queensland court accused of threatening to kill members of Katter's Australian Party (KAP).
Jeremy Francis Howard allegedly left menacing phone messages with KAP members Jeff Knuth and Stephen Todeschini last year.
Howard's 49 charges include a written threat of murder and stalking.
The Townsville Magistrates Court yesterday heard the prosecution is awaiting a brief of evidence before a committal hearing can proceed.
Howard remains in custody to face court again in June.
