Print PageA man has been charged with the murder of a woman whose body was found beside a river in NSW's Hunter region.
Members of the public found the body of the 23-year-old, from Rutherford near Maitland, on the banks of the Hunter River at Aberglasslyn on Sunday morning.
A 30-year-old man attended Maitland Police Station at 5.30pm (AEDT) on Sunday when he was taken into custody and charged with murder, police said on Monday.
The man, from Greta near Maitland, was refused bail to appear in Maitland Local Court on Monday.
