A woman has lost her driving licence for six months after being caught drink driving on the Grand Prix track in Melbourne.

The car, driven by a 20-year-old P-plater, entered a restricted area at Albert Park Lake and ended up bogged in a gravel pit.

Police arrived on the scene to find the woman and her passenger had left, but found them nearby a short time later.
