Homicide detectives are offering a $100,000 reward for information after a 55-year-old woman went missing from her central Victorian home a year ago.

Patricia Ann Gay was last seen by her daughter about 10.30pm on Sunday March 11 last year at her address in Malmsbury, about 100km northwest of Melbourne.

Police say the disappearance is suspicious.

Ms Gay was wearing pyjamas and is described as being 152cm tall, about 70kg, with short brown hair, a fair complexion and blue eyes.

Vital medication and personal belongings were left behind after she vanished.

Homicide Detective Inspector Michael Roberts said someone in the community will know what has happened to Patricia.

"The smallest piece of information could help solve this crime, so we are asking anyone who knows anything, or may have seen or heard something, to come forward," Det Insp Roberts said.
