Police have charged 140 people with drug offences at a festival in Sydney.

About 50,000 revellers attended the annual Future Music Festival at Randwick Racecourse yesterday.

Officers seized a quantity of powder and cannabis as well as more than 300 tablets which are believed to be prohibited drugs.

Police are urging those going to today's under-18s festival, Good Life, to heed warnings about alcohol and drug use.
