1. Film clip - "The Call"
Los Angeles, 5 March 2013
2. SOUNDBITE (English) Abigail Breslin, actress - on if she likes talking on the phone:
"I'm a big texter. And I love to call people, but I mostly call people when I'm in awkward situations and like elevators and I'm like 'just talk to me so I sound like I'm doing something.'"
3. SOUNDBITE (English) Michael Eklund, actor - on if he likes talking on the phone:
"I text a lot. I'm a texter. If this was a movie about texting, it'd be a very fascinating film. But no, I didn't even bring my phone tonight. Tonight is the first night where I'm like 'I'm leaving my phone at home. There's too many phones in the film, I don't need a phone in my pocket.' Anti-phone tonight."
4. SOUNDBITE (English) Brad Anderson, director - on if he likes talking on the phone:
"I actually am not a phone person. I stay away from it as much as I can. But, you know, the nature of the business is that you really can't. But yeah (the film is) probably a good lesson in keep your phone handy at all times. You never know when you'll need it, you know what I mean?"
5. SOUNDBITE (English) Morris Chestnut, actor - on if he likes talking on the phone:
"Well I mean nowadays I'm a text person, so I guess if that includes the phone, then yeah, you know I text a lot. It's somewhat impersonal but sometimes there's so many things to do in the days it's just easier. I don't like not getting back to people, so being able to text them when they're trying to reach you, it helps."
