A man wanted for questioning about dozens of violent crimes across Perth has been arrested in Armadale, after leading police on a high-speed pursuit through the eastern suburbs.

Axel Winmar, 23, was apprehended in Armadale around 11:00 am today by police, including the newly-formed Vehicle Crime Unit.

It is alleged he drove a stolen red sedan in a reckless manner at high speed through several Perth suburbs, including Cloverdale, before being apprehended.

Police say Mr Winmar is wanted for questioning about several burglaries, home invasions and carjackings in recent weeks.
