Dollar little changed as Dow jumps to record high

NEW YORK (AP) — The dollar was little changed against other major currencies Tuesday, even as the Dow Jones industrial average traded at an all-time high.

The euro rose to $1.3040 in late trading Tuesday from $1.3022 late Monday. The British pound rose slightly to $1.5115 from $1.5112.

On Tuesday, the Dow rose past its previous record set in October 2007. The Dow has more than doubled since falling to a low of 6,547 in March 2009 during the financial crisis.

The dollar rose to 0.9417 Swiss franc from 0.9412 Swiss franc.

The dollar fell to 93.29 Japanese yen from 93.42 Japanese yen and to 1.0277 Canadian dollar from 1.0279 Canadian dollars.
