Queensland's Deputy Premier caught speeding

Queensland's Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney has been caught speeding.

He was caught travelling at 118kph in a 100kph zone on Sunday while travelling in a private car between Biloela and Monto in his electorate.

Mr Seeney said he was travelling at that speed while overtaking another vehicle.

He expressed his regret for breaking the speed limit and confirmed that he would pay the fine himself.

Last year, the then police minister after it was revealed he had lost his licence for failing to pay a speeding fine.
