Pakistan is secretly racing to develop its own armed drones, frustrated with U.S. refusals to provide the aircraft, but is struggling in its initial tests with a lack of precision munitions and advanced targeting technology. The development of unmanned combat aircraft is especially sensitive in Pakistan because of the widespread unpopularity of U.S. drone strikes against militants in the rugged tribal region bordering Afghanistan. ISLAMABAD (AP) — A snooker series between India and Pakistan has been postponed due to security concerns in the southern port city of Karachi.

At least 45 people died Sunday from a blast in Karachi that targeted members of the city's Shiite community leaving a mosque. At least 146 people were wounded in the explosion.

President of the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association, Alamgir A. Shaikh, said "the Indian Travel Advisory Board has restricted the Indian team's travel to Pakistan" for the March 7-10 event.

Shaikh says new dates for the event will be announced in due course.

While the snooker series might not happen for some time, the Pakistan Hockey Federation announced a 10-match series against the arch-rivals Indians next month.

PHF secretary Asif Bajwa said Tuesday that Pakistan will play five matches in India in between April 5-15 at Ranchi, Lucknow, New Delhi, Mohali and Jalandhar.

The PHF has slated Karachi as one of the four venues for the return series between April 23-May 2, with Lahore hosting two matches. The other two venues are Faisalabad and Sialkot.
