The Department of Corrective Services says it has contingency plans in place, should prison officers across the state go on strike today.
Almost 2,000 prison officers walked off the job for 24 hours on Friday, after wage negotiations with the State Government failed.
Jails were placed into lockdown and several court trials, including that of Perth bikie Troy Mercanti, were delayed.
Prison officers may take more action today, depending on the outcome of a meeting with the department at the Industrial Relations Commission.
The Prison Officers' Union will continue to push for a pay increase of 14 per cent over three years.
The department says it will monitor the situation this morning and respond if needed.
