Brad Meltzer writing books for kids

NEW YORK (AP) — Best-selling suspense novelist Brad Meltzer is working on a children's series.

Dial Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Penguin Group (USA), announced Monday that Meltzer has a deal for a picture book series about famous Americans. The first two releases, "I Am Amelia Earhart" and "I Am Abraham Lincoln," are expected in the winter of 2014.

Meltzer's novels include "The Book of Fate" and "The Fifth Assassin."
