Two men are in a critical condition in hospital after separate assaults in Western Australia.

Man fights for life after Northbridge assault

A 23-year-old man continues to fight for his life in hospital after he was assaulted in Northbridge at the weekend.

Police say the incident happened on William Street about 4.00am on Saturday.

It is believed the man's head hit the ground during the attack.

The man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for emergency surgery and remains in a critical condition.

Police have spoken to a number of witnesses and are calling on anyone else with information to come forward.

Another man remains in a critical condition in Royal Perth Hospital after he was found with head injuries in a Karratha carpark.

The man aged in his 20's was found unconscious in the carpark on Warambie Road on Saturday morning.

He was flown to Perth for treatment.

Police are investigating.
