A 68 year old man died in a car crash on private property in Tasmania's southern midlands overnight.

Police say the crash happened about 8:30pm when the four wheel drive the man was driving overturned on a steep bush track at Lower Marshes.

They say the vehicle overturned and the man and his two passengers were ejected.

One passenger was airlifted to the Royal Hobart Hospital with leg injuries, the other was not injured.

Meanwhile ambulance officers are treating a man after he drove his car through a wall into a garage on Central Avenue, Moonah a short time ago.
