TRACK-2

COLTON HARRIS MOORE GAINED NATIONWIDE NOTERIETY DURING A TWO-YEAR CROSS-COUNTRY CRIME SPREE INVOLVING STOLEN PLANES, CARS AND BOATS, BEFORE HE CRASHED A PLANE IN THE BAHAMAS AND WAS ARRESTED THERE IN 2010.

ON THURSDAY HE PLED NOT GUILTY TO A NEW BURGLARY CHARGE, AND DECLINED TO ENTER A PLEA ON THE PLANE-THEFT COUNT.

HIS LAWYER SAYS AN EARLIER PLEA DEAL COVERED THAT CHARGE, AND THAT THE PROSECUTOR IS TRYING TO MAKE MOORE FACE THE SAME CHARGE TWICE.

SOUNDBITE: John Henry Browne, Defense Attorney

'He doesn't like what 15 other Prosecutors, 2 US Attorneys and two judges have done. And so he is trying to act like a bully.'

TRACK-3

THE PROSECUTOR SAYS HE'LL REVIEW WHETHER THE AIRPLANE THEFT CHARGE WOULD BE CONSIDERED DOUBLE JEAPORDY, WHICH WOULD VIOLATE HARRIS-MOORE'S CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.

SOUNDBITE: Rich Weyrich, Skagit County, Washington Prosecutor

'we were not aware that he had pled, that there was a Skagit County charge that he had pled to in Island County.

TRACK-4

THE DEFENSE IS EXPECTED TO FILE A MOTION TO HAVE THE CHARGES DISMISSED.
