Authorities are bringing 33 asylum seekers to Darwin after a boat was intercepted off the Northern Territory coast.
The boat was detected by Customs and Border Protection surveillance aircraft north-west of Darwin this morning.
Federal Home Affairs Minister Jason Clare says once the asylum seekers have arrived in Darwin they'll undergo initial security, health, and identity checks, and their reasons for travel will be established.
