Whodunit series Mr & Mrs Murder has delivered Network Ten its first prime-time weeknight winner this ratings season.
The Australian-made mystery sleuth series, which is only into its second episode, was 10th in the ratings on Wednesday with 715,000 viewers.
It's the network's first Top 10 weeknight finish since ratings officially started on February 11.
Ten has made it into the Top 10 on Sunday nights with US crime drama Elementary and reality series MasterChef: The Professionals.
Its highest-rating show during the week has been its late afternoon news service, Ten News at Five. But there has been no joy during prime-time evening spots on weeknights.
All Ten's major offerings have been languishing in the ratings.
Last week the US musical series Glee, which screens at 7.30pm, was punted to Ten's digital channel Eleven after it attracted just 269,000.
The network replaced Wednesday night's Glee with back-to-back episodes of Modern Family.
Modern Family pulled about 100,000 more viewers on average than Glee on Wednesday to give Mr & Mrs Murder a slightly stronger lead-in.
Even with 715,000 viewers, Mr & Mrs Murder was a long way from ratings behemoth My Kitchen Rules, which attracted a record 2.355 million viewers.
Seven News (1.237 million), Nine News (1.183 million) and Today Tonight filled the next three spots.
The Block: All Stars claimed fifth spot with 1.030 million while Seven's US war drama Last Resort slipped on its premiere last week of 1.131 viewers.
The second episode of Last Resort came in ninth with an audience of 949,000.
