A woman who was missing for over 12 hours in flooded bushland in southeast Queensland has been rescued.

The woman, 49, was driving home about 5pm (AEST) on Monday on a road near Pomona, north of Brisbane.

After noticing the road ahead was flooded, she parked her car and began walking down a bush track to get home.

But she became disoriented and got lost in the partially flooded bushland.

A search began when she didn't come home but it was suspended late on Monday.

It resumed on Tuesday morning and searchers found her at 10.45am.

Swift-water crews rescued her and she is being treated for exposure.
