Victorian Government frontbenchers say Ted Baillieu will lead the coalition to the next election, despite the Premier's poor showing in another opinion poll.

A ReachTEL poll, conducted for Seven News at the weekend, showed nearly 32 per cent of respondents believed Mr Baillieu was doing a "very poor" job as premier.

Mr Baillieu also ranked well behind the Opposition Leader, Daniel Andrews, as preferred Premier.

Planning Minister Matthew Guy is considered a potential leadership rival to Mr Baillieu, but he says there is no prospect of a challenge.

"Ted is our party leader. He has our full support. He will lead the coalition to the 2014 election and it's as simple as that," he said.

"People will always have different points of view but I don't think that's necessarily going to occupy anyone else's mind beyond 24 hours."
