Police are searching a quiet road which runs behind Dreamworld, in their hunt for clues to the disappearance of Gold Coast mum Novy Chardon.

Officers and SES volunteers are scouring semi-rural Kopps Road and surrounding areas.

Police believe Mrs Chardon's Volvo SUV may have been driven along the road some time between her disappearance from her Upper Coomera home on the night of Wednesday February 6, and the night of Monday February 11.

Mrs Chardon's husband John, who flew to Indonesia with their two children on a pre-arranged business trip two days after his wife disappeared, remains in Jakarta.

Mr Chardon said he took the children with him when his wife failed to show up.

Detectives say police are not treating him as a suspect, but are keen to talk to him when he returns.
