Police are searching for three young men who assaulted a 64-year-old deaf and mute man in the Perth suburb of Swan View.

Police say the victim noticed his electric scooter had been stolen from the back patio of his Patterson Drive home last Saturday.

He went looking for it in a nearby park when he was approached by the three youths who pushed him to the ground and hit him in the face with a bottle.

The man fell to the ground but was able to get up and run to his home.

He suffered cuts and swelling to his cheek.

His scooter was later found partially submerged in a lake in the park.

Police are searching for three teenagers aged between 15 and 18.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
