Fire has destroyed a house at Barmera in the Riverland.
Emergency crews were called to the house in Hardwick Street just after 10:30pm on Thursday.

As many as 10 people had lived at the house but it was fortunate none was at home.
One of the residents was later was taken to hospital for treatment of shock, having arrived home to find the house alight.
