FIVE PEOPLE ARE NOW KNOWN DEAD, AFTER A SMALL JET CRASHED PAST THE END OF A NEAR AUGUSTA, GEORGIA.

ONLY TWO PEOPLE ON THE PLANE SURVIVED.

THEY WERE TAKEN TO AREA HOSPITALS.

THE F-A-A SAYS THE JET WAS A HAWKER BEECHCRAFT 390 PREMIERE ONE.

IT WAS SCHEDULED TO LAND AT THOMSON-MCDUFFIE AIRPORT, ABOUT 30 MILES WEST OF AUGUSTA ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT, AFTER A FLIGHT FROM NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE.

IT IS NOT KNOWN WHAT CAUSED THE CRASH.

THE IDENTITIES OF THE VICTIMS HAVE NOT BEEN RELEASED, BUT THE F-A-A SAYS THE PLANE WAS REGISTERED TO A COMPANY BASED IN WILMINGTON, DELAWARE.
