1. Trailer clip - "Side Effects"
Germany, 13 February 2013
2. SOUNDBITE (English) Jude Law, actor and Rooney Mara, actress - on the side effects of modern society and technology they could do without:
Reporter: "I was wondering whether there were any kinds of side effects of society now that you would like to take away again, is there things like, the side effects of mobile phones or the side effects of things, is there stuff you think...?"
Law: "Don't start me on mobile phones."
Mara: "Yeah, oh my God. I just got an iPhone and I swear can feel, I feel like I'm living with a microwave all the time."
Mara: "I can feel the radiation."
Law: "I never got so judgmental until my kids started to get to an age where they're on phones and at dinner time if they go like this (looks down like he's checking his phone), I go like... I am such an old fuddy duddy, I will not have it at the dinner table. But that culture. You know people rave about this - we're so in touch with each other nowadays, what have we suddenly all got to talk about with each other you know? Was life so bad? I say let's go back to smoke signals."
Reporter: "You are right because you go on to Facebook now and..."
Law: "People just talking nonsense."
Reporter: "I know what you've been doing for the last two years because I've seen your pictures on Facebook."
Law: "The whole Twitter thing too, you know, 'I am going to the shops.' It's like 'good. Keep it to yourself.'"
Mara: "You're not on Twitter?"
Mara: "Neither am I. It's so weird."
Law: "'I like that film.'"
Mara: "'I'm buying groceries.'"
Law: "Good for you, don't tell me about it. 'Get a life.' How about that, there's a good Twitter."
Mara: "It makes people feel important."
Law: "'I have an opinion.' Everyone deserves an opinion but keep it to yourself."
Reporter: "You don't want to know it."
Law: "I don't offer mine up, oh I guess I am right now, whoops."
