5. SOUNDBITE (English) Anne Hathaway/Oscar Nominee, "Les Miserables," on working with costume designer Paco Delgado:

"Well, one of my favorite memories from working with Paco was the day that he was showing me all of these ... he was mentioning all of these references -- this great art that he wanted to evoke in the movie. And he kept talking about, 'Delacroix, Delacroix, Delacroix.' And I just thought, 'That's so unexpected. It's such a modern designer. And, so, finally, I said to him, I asked him, 'Paco, I just think that Le Croix is, I don't know, his designs are a little out there. And I'm not sure it's really going to translate. And he goes, 'No, darling: Delacroix, Delacroix. Go to the Louvre' So, I did go to The Louvre and I sat in front of an oil painting for about two hours and cried, because I do things like that, and it really opened my eyes, actually, to the story that he was trying to tell -- and synergy."

7. SOUNDBITE (English) Anne Hathaway/Oscar Nominee, "Les Miserables," on winning the Costume Designers Guild's 2013 Lacoste Spotlight Award:

"I wasn't sure what getting this award meant, entirely, because it's the Costume Guild and I'm an actor. So, I looked it up on the website, and it's about celebrating the spirit of collaboration that exists between actors and directors and the costume designers. And I really liked that because I supposed, without us they wouldn't ... their costumes wouldn't have anywhere to live. And without their costumes, our characters would be cut off at the knees in a way. We wouldn't be able to do what we do. So, we tell a story together. And the fact that this guild believes that I've told enough stories while collaborating well, means a great deal to me."
