A 30-year-old man facing drug and weapons charges has been granted bail in the Townsville Magistrates Court in north Queensland.

Nick Veis from Rosslea was charged after police discovered drugs, drug paraphernalia and a gun in his car at the weekend.

Officers also found guns, drugs and equipment used to manufacture explosive devices after a further search of a property in Townsville.

He was granted bail under the conditions he does not enter Flinders Street and must report to police weekly.

He is due to reappear in court next month.
