A Geelong man has been arrested over a grassfire in Melbourne's outer north.
The blaze has now been contained but continues to burn near Donnybrook, Epping and Campbellfield.
The 48-year-old was released after police interviewed him in relation to recklessly starting the fire, which has burned more than 2400 hectares.
He is expected to be charged on summons, a police spokesman said.
The fire started about 2pm (AEDT) on Monday in the area of Donnybrook Road, Kalkallo.
