Regional newspaper company APN has confirmed it will cut 12 positions in Queensland over the next two months, as part of a company-wide shake-up.

APN publishes several newspapers across central Queensland, including The Morning Bulletin in Rockhampton and The Observer in Gladstone.

The company says it is offering voluntary redundancies to pre-press staff, who are involved in the layout of newspapers.
