Almost 100 workers will lose their jobs after packaging company Amcor announced the closure of its plant in Thomastown and changes at another in North Laverton.
The company says the Thomastown site, in Melbourne's north, will close mid-year, resulting in about 80 staff redundancies.
Another 17 jobs will be lost at North Laverton.
