Queensland police have charged a 28-year-old man over seven separate armed robberies across the southern suburbs of Brisbane.

The crimes allegedly date back to August last year, with the latest robbery committed last month.

The man allegedly targeted convenience stores at Tarragindi and Wishart, and liquor stores in Mt Gravatt, Salisbury and Mansfield.

Police say a sawn-off shotgun was used to threaten staff in each robbery, but no-one was hurt.

The man, from Tarragindi, has been charged with 20 offences including armed robbery, deprivation of liberty, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
