TUG BOATS HAD TO BE SENT TO PUSH THE STRANDED SHIP TO SHORE.

THROUGHOUT THE SLOW JOURNEY TO DRY LAND...DOZENS OF PASSENGERS HUDDLED AROUND HOUSEHOLD POWER STRIPS TO CHARGE THEIR CELL PHONES AND TABLETS.

ON FRIDAY...TUGS PULLED THE SHIP AWAY FROM THE DOCK IN MOBILE...TAKING IT TO THE SHIPYARD TO GET REPAIRS STARTED.

IN THE MEANTIME...THE NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION SAFETY BOARD IS WORKING WITH OTHER AUTHORITIES TO FIGURE OUT WHAT CAUSED THE ENGINE ROOM FIRE.

INFORMATION FROM THE PROBE COULD BE USED TO MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR IMPROVING CRUISE SHIP SAFETY.
