NOVE MESTO, Czech Republic (AP) — Tora Berger anchored Norway to victory in the women's relay on Friday for her fourth gold medal at the biathlon world championships.

Norway made a slow start due to Hilde Fenne's poor performance at the shooting range to be only 17th after the first leg. But Ann Kristin Aafedt Flatland and Synnoeve Solemdal gradually overcame the penalty lap, allowing Berger to overtake Germany, Ukraine and Italy on the final leg and cruise to victory.

The Norwegian covered the 4x6 kilometers in 1 hour, 8 minutes, 11 seconds to beat second-place Ukraine by 7 seconds. Italy finished 11.6 seconds back to take bronze.

Berger also won gold in the mixed relay, pursuit and individual races at the championships, plus took silver in sprint.
