A SEN BERNADINO COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT SPOKESWOMAN NOW SAYS THAT HUMAN REMAINS WERE FOUND INSIDE A BURNED OUT CABIN, WHERE IT'S BELIEVED FUGITIVE EX-POLICE OFFICER CHRISTOPHER DORNER ENGAGED IN A SHOOTOUT WITH POLICE.

INVESTIGATORS WILL USE FORENSIC TESTS TO DETERMINE IF THE BODY IS DORNER'S.

OFFICERS WERE AT FIRST UNABLE TO ENTER THE CABIN, AFTER IT BURNED DOWN ON TUESDAY.

I'm telling you that the investigators have not been inside, because it's not safe for them. They believe there's live ammunition in there and the building is still smouldering and too hot to enter and they're not going to do it.

DORNER IS BELIEVED TO HAVE KILLED FOUR PEOPLE, INCLUDING A SAN BERNADINO COUNTY SHERIFF ON TUESDAY.

THE BIG BEAR AREA HAS BEEN UNDER VIRTUAL LOCKDOWN SINCE DORNER WAS BELIEVED TO HAVE FLED THERE LAST WEEK, WITH POLICE SETTING UP ROADBLOCKS AND CHECKING VEHICLES.

THE FORMER POLICE OFFICER AND NAVY RESERVIST HAD THREATENED TO BRING WARFARE TO LOS ANGELES POLICE AND THEIR FAMILIES, IN REVENGE FOR HIS 20-08 FIRING.
