"we are now investigating over a thousand clues that have come in from the public yesterday there several questions on whether or not the amount or the frequency of clues have increased since the announcement of the reward, we initially had 250 clues when the investigation started so now we're over a thousand that's since the announcement of the reward. About a 400 percent increase on clues that have come in from the public.

Well some are credible and all of them will be looked at. Obviously with a thousand clues and tips you have to prioritize. So that has more credence and more weight will be followed up on immediately and others will be prioritized and handled as we can get to them.

"it is frustrating and we're hopeful that something will break loose from the public and these investigative leads will result in something very positive in terms of bringing this to a conclusion.

STORYLINE:

Police are now investigating more than 1,000 tips from the public in the search for the fired officer suspected of a deadly revenge plot against the Los Angeles Police Department. LAPD says the number of tips has grown from an initial 250 since the city offered a $1 million reward for information leading to the capture of Christopher Dorner. Police also said today that detectives have obtained new security video from a sporting goods store but have not determined if it shows Dorner.
