Woman hit by car chasing Sydney robber

A woman has been hit by a car while chasing a man who robbed her at knife point in Sydney's west.

Police say the 60-year-old woman was confronted by a man with a knife when she went to retrieve her handbag from an upstairs office at a Bankstown warehouse about 9.30pm (AEDT) on Monday.

He threatened the woman, took her wallet and fled.

While chasing the robber with her husband, the woman was hit by a car.

She was taken to Bankstown Hospital with minor injuries.
