Otto scores Rake remake lead

Miranda Otto will reportedly be adding an Australian flavour to the US remake of the acclaimed ABC series Rake.

Otto has been signed on to appear opposite Greg Kinnear in the Fox network's version of the series, according to industry website Deadline.com.

Kinnear is taking on the role of criminal defence lawyer Cleaver Greene which scored Australian star Richard Roxburgh both a Silver Logie and an Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) award.

Otto will play Kinnear's ex-wife Maddy while Necar Zadegan from Emily Owens, MD has been signed to take on the role of Scarlett Meagher.
