A 20-year-old woman has been charged with the stabbing murder of a man in northern Tasmania.
Police said the woman and the the 21-year-old man were involved in an altercation at George Town, 50 kilometres north of Launceston, on Friday night.
The man suffered stab wounds and later died in the Launceston General Hospital.
Police charged the woman with murder, but said investigations were continuing.
