Qld police search for stab weapon

Police are searching an area in southeast Queensland for a weapon involved in the stabbing death of a man.

A 32-year-old man died in a Toowoomba Hospital on January 31 from a stab wound to the leg, police say.

No one has been arrested.

A butter knife and scissors have been found so far in Link Street, Toowoomba, according to Detective Inspector Dave Isherwood.

"Certainly I think we'd be looking for a sharp knife," he told ABC Radio on Saturday.

"The injury inflicted was quite deep so it would have been a sharpened instrument like a sharpened knife."
