Northern Territory police say three people have been charged in relation to the bashing of a 73 year-old man on a Darwin bus.

The bus passenger was treated in hospital for facial injuries after being punched to the ground and kicked during an argument on the bus last week.

Police Watch Commander Greg Pusterla says a 41 year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault and has been bailed to appear in court on the first of March.

Two women aged 53 and 48 have also been bailed to appear in court on charges of aggravated assault.
