Royal visit for standout Aussies in UK
Some of Australia's finest expats will line up for a royal appointment in London.
Prince Charles and his wife Camilla will on Wednesday meet with antipodeans who have been recognised for outstanding contributions or achievements and crowned as Australian of the Year in the UK.
A selection of winners and nominees of the award, which has been presented since 2004, will visit Clarence House where they will meet Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
Past finalists and winners of the award include entertainer Barry Humphries, author and TV presenter Clive James, and London bombing victim Gill Hicks.
Among the guests listed for Wednesday is the recently-announced Young Australian of Year in the UK: indigenous Rhodes scholar Rebecca Richards.
She will be kept company by a past winner of the same award, fashionista Yasmin Sewell.
Recipients and nominees of the UK New Zealander of the Year awards will also attend the event.
