ISTANBUL, TURKEY..... A CROSSROADS OF EAST AND WEST AND A CITY OF RICH HISTORY....

WHERE A 33-YEAR-OLD AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHER FROM NEW YORK -- TRAVELING THERE FOR THE FIRST TIME -- HAS JUST GONE MISSING.

I've been married to her for over 14 years...and my love for her is deeper than I have had for any other individual."

SARAI (suh-RYE) SIERRA PLANNED TO TRAVEL TO TURKEY WITH A FRIEND, BUT WOUND UP GOING ALONE.... AND ARRIVED ON JANUARY 7TH.

HER FAMILY WAS LAST IN TOUCH WITH HER ON JANUARY 21ST... WHEN SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO START HER JOURNEY BACK HOME.

I called United Airlines when she hadn't showed up at the airport...and they stated that she didn't board the flight."

A LETTER FROM THE HOSTEL SHE WAS STAYING AT SAID SHE LEFT HER PASSPORT, CLOTHES AND PHONE CHARGERS IN HER ROOM.

"You have so many thoughts going through your mind, you don't know what to think, you don't know what to believe, you don't know what to expect, you don't know what will come out of this."

HER FAMILY HAS BEEN IN TOUCH WITH TURKISH AUTHORITIES AND OFFICIALS AT THE U. S. EMBASSY THERE IN AN EFFORT TO FIND HER.

NOW, HER HUSBAND AND HER BROTHER PLAN TO SEARCH FOR HER IN ISTANBUL THEMSELVES.

THE 33 YEAR OLD HAS TWO CHILDREN -- AGES 9 AND 11.

AND HER FAMILY SAYS THEY HAVEN'T BEEN TOLD YET THAT THEIR MOTHER IS MISSING.
