Vic man charged over Werribee hit-run

A 27-year-old man has been charged following an alleged hit-run at Werribee, in Melbourne's southwest.

A 27-year-old Point Cook man was allegedly struck by a car while crossing Synnot Street about 4am (AEDT) on Saturday, police say.

The injured man was taken to Melbourne's Alfred Hospital, but released on Saturday afternoon.

The accused man was bailed and is due to face Werribee Magistrates Court on April 29.

A 23-year-old Werribee man who was also taken into custody was released pending further inquiries.
