SAPPORO, Japan (AP) — Jan Matura of the Czech Republic won his second straight ski jump World Cup Sunday by winning a large hill event in Sapporo.

Matura landed jumps of 132.5 and 133 meters to score a total of 247 points and beat Robert Kranjec of Slovenia by 1.3 points. Kranjec had jumps of 131 and 134 meters.

Andreas Wank of Germany finished third with 241 points.

The 32-year-old Matura won his first World Cup on Saturday, taking advantage of a weakened start field as many of the top jumpers skipped the trip to Japan.

Taku Takeuchi was the top Japanese jumper, finishing seventh.
